Stay True.

Through 50 years of change we have remained true to what we are as builders, and we intend to keep it that way.

Monadnock was founded in Brooklyn over 50 years ago

The times have changed. So have some of the faces. But our name is still the same, and so is what we stand for: solid, dependable construction from a team that delivers on its commitments.

Affordable housing has always been a defining cornerstone of our work

We’ve worked to build our reputation as the most capable, most reliable contractor in New York’s affordable-housing market. With every project, we make it a priority not just to maintain that reputation, but to strengthen it further.

A focus and expertise in High‑Performance building systems

No one had ever constructed a multi-family passive-house building in New York—until we did it, ahead of schedule and below budget. The House at Cornell Tech was not only New York’s first, but also the largest Passive House apartment building in North America at the time.

Hear it from our employees

Even before I began, I knew I wanted to commit to a career spanning 40-50 years. Good things come to those who work hard and seize opportunities. As the third generation in construction, I witnessed the strong relationships my father and grandfather built while working in the same place with the same people.

Every project is different. There’s always something you learn. The projects I’ve been on and people I’ve worked with have shaped me and taught me how to approach things. I like that the PM does everything from start to finish. You get to touch it all. You get to own it all. There’s accountability, but you also have a sense of ownership and authority to make decisions and solve problems on your own, and the faith of the partners behind you.

Those original values from when the company started, those are still here. Those stories you hear about the generosity of the owners and putting trust into people—that’s passed down in the people that have followed them. Leading with generosity and intelligence, being fair. That’s rare in construction.
